Management

 

Prof. Dr. Markus Holz was appointed President of AMG’s Engineering Systems Division and CEO of ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH as per October 2012. He joined the ALD Management Board in October 2011.

Prof. Dr. Holz graduated in Aerospace Engineering in 1986 and earned his PhD in 1992.  Following his 10 years of service in the German Airforce he began his career with ThyssenKrupp where he assumed several executive positions mainly in the stainless steel and special metals branch. In 1999 Prof. Dr. Holz became Managing Director of ThyssenKrupp Titanium GmbH (formerly Deutsche Titan GmbH) and in 2002 he was appointed Managing Director of ThyssenKrupp Titanium S.p.A. (formerly Titania S.p.A.). Furthermore, he was responsible for Tubificio di Terni, Italy from 2004 through 2007. From 2007 to 2009 Prof. Dr. Holz was CEO of the ThyssenKrupp Titanium Group (Germany and Italy). In January 2010 he joined the Managing Board of Hempel Special Metals, Oberhausen, Germany. 

 

 

As of March 1, 2017, Dr. Christian Momm was appointed to the Management Board of ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH, headquartered in Hanau, Germany as CFO.

After successfully completing his studies in industrial engineering in 1989, Dr. Momm mediated his funding in 1995. Subsequently, he worked as a project manager before moving to a world-leading construction company as a long-standing member of the management and CFO. Since 2012, Dr. Momm has been working in the same position at a leading international manufacturer of drilling rigs and -systems.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Michael Protzmann attended the Technical University of Darmstadt from 1978 until 1983 and received a Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineer.
He started his career with Leybold-Heraeus in the Design Department in 1983.
In 1988 he took over the leadership of the Design Group for Vacuum-Metallurgical Remelting Furnaces and was made Department Manager Mechanical Design with Leybold-Durferrit / Division Remelting Units in 1991.  In 1993 he was made responsible for all Mechanical Design Departments.
In 1996 he became Assistant Technical Manager and was made Vice President Mechanical Engineering and Assembly in 2006. Effective October 1, 2014 Michael Protzmann was appointed Managing Director responsible for all technical requirements of ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH.
